Favorite Dessert Recipes

Warm Apple and Cranberry Tart
Serves 2
Pastry Dough
2 Apples, peeled, cored and sliced
2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
2 oz. Cranberries
1 oz. Honey
1/2 tsp. Ground Clove
1 tsp. Fresh Ground Nutmeg
1 tsp. Fresh Ground Cinnamon
1 Tbsp. Milk
1 Egg
Powdered Sugar
Spiced Whip Cream
In a bowl mix the apples, cranberries, honey, sugar,
and spices. Roll out enough pastry dough to make a circle 12 inches in
diameter. Place filling in center of tart leaving 2 inches from the
edge. Fold over the crust so that there is a top crust with it open in
the middle. Mix the egg and milk and brush the top of the crust with
the egg wash. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes or until the apples are
soft and the crust is golden brown. Plate and dust with powdered sugar
and large dollop of spiced whipped cream.
