Favorite Appetizer Recipes

Julien (Small Mushroom Casserole)
Serves 4
1 lb. Button Mushrooms, quartered
2 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter
1 Tbsp. Garlic, chopped
2 Tbsp. Scallions, sliced
2 oz. Fennel , sliced
1/2 cup Sour Cream
2 Tbsp. Parsley, chopped
2 tsp. Nutmeg
1/2 cup Swiss Cheese
Salt and Pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 425°. Melt the butter in a
sauté pan. Add the mushrooms and fennel and sauté until
the liquid has evaporated and the mushrooms are golden brown. Add the
scallions and garlic and sauté for one minute and remove from
the heat. Add the rest of the ingredients except the cheese and
combine. Divide the mushroom mixture into 4 ovenproof ramekins. Top
with Swiss and place into the oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until the
cheese is golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve.
