Favorite Dessert Recipes

Maple Sugar Cookies
Yield: 3 Dozen
2/3 cup Sugar
1/3 cup Butter
1 Egg
1 Tbsp. Maple Syrup
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 1/4 cups Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
pinch salt
Preheat oven to 350°. Cream together the butter
and sugar. Add the egg, vanilla and maple syrup. In a separate bowl
sift together the dry ingredients. Combine the dry ingredients with the
egg mixture. Do not over mix. Form the dough into a ball and
refrigerate for 1 hour. On a floured table roll out the dough to
1/4”. Use a leaf cutter or your favorite shaped cutter to make
the cookies. Place the cut cookies on a non-stick sheet pan. The dough
may be rerolled. Sprinkle the top with more sugar and bake for 8-10
minutes or until the bottom of the cookies are lightly browned. Cool on
a wire rack and store or serve.
