Favorite Dessert Recipes

Pastry Dough
Yield: 3 pounds
1 1/2 lbs. Flour, pastry
1 lb. Shortening
1/2 lb. Water
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
Cut the shortening into the flour until the consistency
resembles the size of hazelnuts. Dissolve the salt in the water and add
to the flour mixture. Mix the dough until it just catches. Chill the
dough. Scale and roll out.
