Favorite Dessert Recipes

1/4 cup Vermicelli
4
Cups Milk
1 Tbsp. Raisins
1
Tbsp. Cashews
1 Tbsp. Sunflower Seeds
1
Tbsp. Almonds
1 Tbsp. Pistachios
2 1/2 Tbsp. Ghee (clarified butter)
2 tsp. Cardamom
3 1/2 Tbsp. Sugar
Deseed the dates and chop each one into four pieces. Heat the butter
over low heat in a sauté pan and add the nuts and raisins.
Sautee for 2-3 minutes. Using a slotted spoon remove the nut mixture
from the butter and set aside. In the same pan add the vermicelli and
sauté over low heat for 2 minutes stirring continuously.
Remove from the heat and set aside. In a heavy pan boil the milk and
then add the pasta and sugar. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Cook
uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the nut mixture
and cardamom and cook for 3 more minutes. Serve hot or cold.
