HOT CRAB DIP w/ STUBBS SWEET HEAT BBQ SAUCE

INGREDIENTS

1 cup sour cream

1 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1/2 cup Stubb’s Sweet Heat Bar-B-Q Sauce, or more to taste

1/2 medium white or yellow onion, diced

1 large celery stick, diced

3 scallions, sliced, plus more for garnish

1 cup cooked crab meat, lump or claw meat

1 cup shredded Parmesan or Cheddar cheese, plus 1/4 cup for topping

Salt and pepper to taste

Crackers or chips for serving

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350° degrees. Mix together all ingredients in a large bowl (except extra cheese) to combine. Season to taste, adding more sauce, salt and pepper if needed. Pour the mixture into a medium-sized baking dish (8×8 inch square or similar) and bake for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbling. Top with extra cheese and return to oven for 5 minutes to allow the cheese to melt. Let cool down for a few minutes before serving. Serve with crackers or tortilla chips.

*Note this dip can also be mixed and served cold or at room temperature without baking first.
